Well, I made the order, and I bought an HFC semi-automatic all-metal M190 M9 replica. It's a gas blowback, so I had to order gas, even though I heard it's cheaper to use plain propane. I bought the green gas because I'm not going to be shooting much, and if I do turn out to shoot more than I thought, then I might switch to propane. I bought an extra magazine, because I'll need it for an upcoming competiton that is a big chunk of the reason I bought the gun in the first place. I also bought a bag of plastic BB's, a really big bag of about 2000, so I shouldn't run out anytime soon. It should arrive between tuesday and thursday of next week.

Nice gun and a good brand.

Just a tip I was told for using gas guns,

You should use propane its just as effective and to me it seems to last longer then Gas.   Plus you don thave to worries about paying out the ass for can of gas.  Propane adapter are like 10 buck for plastice and 20- 25 bucks if you get the metal ones.

Oh cool. A airsoft comp sounds fun. I got kicked out of the only group that played it around here. A friend of mine ivited me over one night for some airsoft and a few drinks with his buds. I found out when I got there it was a full blown competition. Tey had full camo suits and special face masks also. I told my friend I had not come for this but id plat anyways cause we had to go buy me a rifle before the fun started. I had never owned nor fired any airsoft guns before. Thoug I had don two weekends of paintball before. When we finally got to the point they had to figure out what team got stuck with me, "the rookie." I told them I knew how to shoot the real stuff but I never play this. So they had me guard the flag and they would do the battle. Well after a few minutes of play 6 of 12 guys on our team had gone down. The other guys protecting the flag took off to fill the gap and hold off the rush. I just sat at the flag behind some bush. Waiting.....just waiting.,.,.,.,.,.BINGO... I got my shot. It was now a 9 against 2 battle. So The other team started to rush the flag. Ouch!!!! went the first guy as the small of his back got hit with my shot. 8 to 2.......What the hell? & who hit me said the next two guys.....6 ta 2 this is getting fun........cover me ill.... damn it... thats was a close call......5 to 2.......shit now we are in trouble my last team mate went down.........its 5 to 1 rookie is the last man standing.....or well I was doing a lot of differant things from my spot..............This fighting at dusk made it real fun shooting these guys. So back to the fun. Now the last few guys got together a ways off in the middle of the field to make a plan cause they thought they could just rush me and get the flag. Well I took my hint and moved locations......slowly I made my way to the other side of the field. Getting two other guys in the process......Now it was 3 to 1 and they had no clue where I was or how to get me. They no longer went for the flag it was me they wanted now. No rookie was going to show them up. So they started hunting......I just layed there motionless and still with flag in hand. . . .(decoy playced on the stick at there base.)  Now they started getting real cautious as it was fully dark with only the glow lamps giving light......A member of there team got way to close to me but moved passed just enough for a shot at his back side....I took it and stayed still.... The sound of the shot never gave me away as I hoped. He tried to tell the guys how to find me but he was no good at it. I had moved and they went the wrong way anyhow......I was now 20 yards from home base....2 on 1 this is now a game they don't like. I am the hunter they are afraid of & I am now down to 6 shots left in my mag. They have full mags and one was a AK model with 200 rounds. I was going to have some fun with this......I crawled slowly and as close as I could to the left od the field. They just hid there waiting for me to try and get the flag and win.....well if they only knew I already had it....... I got my chance to move. the guys got tired of waiting and moved up some to get a shot at me if they saw me.....Now I had my gap that would let me pass......I had about 20 minutes left to get the flag back hom but I knew they would have to take mine back to there base for the win if they did not get me. So I just hid there in the small low spot to the left rear of the flag and watched as they made the plan to run the flag back.....They went to the flag and thats when I got to take out the AK guys. I shot him squar in his mask and he knew right were I was. His buddy grabbed the flag and ran to there base for the win only to hear half way there its too late he as our flag.

Well now they want to know why I lied about playing airsoft. Well I told them I never played this at all. But that did not explain why I was able to take out the whole team alone for the most part. I guess its a thing only the son of a Marine could do. When your Father gets you up at 04:00 for your day of teaching in how to be a man and how to fight you kind of learn how to win. No matted the weapons you have at the time. So they took my rifle and gave me a pistol for the next round.........Same result the whole night......They even added extra guys to the team that I was not on......It did no good....Until they just rushed me they never won. But even with the rushing I got 4-6 kills. So after that night I never got another invite to play.

I guess the whole point of this is be good but don't destroy them. They may get scared and never have you back..hehehe

well, we won't really be shooting each other, just a course with some cardboard targets set up and we get timed how long it takes us to get through the course. I did the same thing last year with a borrowed gun that was provided at the event. Didn't miss a single shot, but I took too much time to aim for each shot, and ignored one well hidden target. What I shot at, I hit dead center, though. Besides not wanting to borrow a gun this year, I also wanted to practice getting off quicker shots. So on weekends I'll go out into the backyard, set up some copy paper from about 50 feet, and fire away. What we also did last year was set up dominoes 50 feet away and see who could knock down their set of ten first. the only difference is we used AEG's for that one, and a quality rifle was way out of my budget. And from 50 feet, Dominoes are absolutely microbial. even though I was the first one to knock down all ten, it took me about 1.5 minutes and who-knows-how-many shots to get them all. But that part wasn't judged. it was just for fun. We also had a guy and a lady from the army come in and participate. they came in ACU's and destroyed the rest of us. One guy, who happened to be my commander, was in the U.S. Army Airborne Rangers, Russian Spetznaz, and both american and russian police forces. Don't ask me how he did all that. But he had the best time. the course whas designed to be about a minute, and he blew through it in less than 40 seconds.

But the gun comes tomorrow, and mu buddies are coming over just to gawk at the thing, because I guess they have never seen a gun anywhere but the ranges.

Well just to finish the story about me killing everyone in that air soft game. I think I should tell you that all the other guys had been drunk for a few hours and most had just smoked something that made them stager a bit when they ran. So did I totally kick ass.....YES......Was I the only sober guy on the field.....YES.....Did I care.....NO.....I still rub it in to this day and that was two years ago.....HEHEHE

Point is have your fun and enjoy every minute of it. If you win let them know if you loose be sure you were drunk so you won't care...HEHE
