Hi guys
Title update is in QA agian - a few issues with multiplayer were found.
More news about title update will be next week.

BTW Some news about sequel and PC version of the game will be very soon. And on this forum will be a day before others.

Well, first of all publishers are still going to release update. There are just lots of communication delays, like this: we made update, publisher scheduled QA on next week, then QA worked and found issues, then our turn agian.
We have repeated this at least 6 times, and each iteration takes time, usually week and more.
You know updates are not primary buisness for publishers (any of them) and as they don't have internal QA team it take much more time.
I'm talking about PS3 update. X360 will be scheduled for QA not earlier then PS3 update will pass Sony's QA.
Bugs are about disconnects in some cases.

So most of time we are not making or fixing update but just waiting.
But on other hand our works on sequel are on schedule. And all the issues that we have fixed in update or all features that were added will be in sequel. And even more - things like replays or join-in-progress cannot be added in Birds of Prey, but will be in sequel.

So, you are not forgetten, guys

My guess is the 360 patch will be out before the end of this month, the PS3 patch has been approved and added.

...sigh, this is taking too much time. By the time the patch is released it will be sequel time. Besides, if they dont advertise the game no will buy it anyway. Im afraid this genre is to difficult for average gamers. which is why AC6 an Hawx did so well, just point, lock on, and shoot. No flying skill required.

True. FPS and other style gamers will always go for the KISS style game. (Keep It Simple & Stupid) But there will always be those like us who love to FLY not auto pilot airborn missile racks with guns. I love to play flight games and will always play flight games. I will always try to set things up as close to real as the game allows.

If we want to change this we will need to start improving the minds and desires of those whop have no real sense of awareness for what life demands of them now and in the future. Just talk to kids about what they want to be when they grow up and then check on them every 10 years till they are 50. Look at how many never actually do what they said they would do. Most people are forced to alter there choices as they grow up. Very few are actually strong enough to go through the struggle it takes to gain the dreams we have.

this may only be me, but the one thing i did not like about the first one is the fact that i could not find the ground targets and could barely hit the targets. i liked the dog fighting and it was fun dog fighting, but when it came to doing the ground targeting it pissed me off because i could barely hit those damn ground targets. by the time i did hit the ground targets the time would be up and i would lose the round. make me wish that i only rented the game and not bought it. but as i said this may only be me.

Well it takes a bit more practice to get the kill runs on ground targets than in other games. It helps to have rockets. Try to aproach you targets from the end of the line if you can and start at a mid lvl alt. This gives you a longer strafe line than to go in low and slow. You can't hit them cause they are too low to the ground to fly at them you have to fly down at them. It took my a bit but I got the basic concept down and can do it when I am warmmed up.

right now that game is collecting a nice layer of dust on it. i think that i will let more dust get on it before i play it again, if i play it again.

Yeah I know what you mean. Mine is only played every other week or so. I just don't have the interest anymore. The heart of the players is gonew and so is the interest.

I seriously doubt the lack of interest in this game had anything to do with it being too difficult. AC6 is FAR more than just point and shoot, or we all would be equal at the end of every match, not so I'm afraid as many are far better than others. More like AC6 and HAWX were better because they took all the exciting aspects of aerial combat and made great games out of it. IL2 added all the annoying and tedious parts of combat and made a shitty game out of it. Arcade mode was too simple, I finished that without dying at all the first time through. Realistic didn't add anything to the fun of the game, just a bunch of annoying aerial characteristics. Simulator was far worse.

Kind of like taking a game like MW2 and having your character need to stop for a piss break in the middle of a fire fight. Sometimes realism can go way too far and just ruin a game. Some like that stuff, but most don't. I don't mind "difficult" if it remains fun, but IL2 dropped the ball there big time. The graphics were awesome, I have never looked forward to a game more than that one, which also makes it the biggest disappointment of any game by far.

It was unsuccessful because 1c games put zero money into advertising it. I don't think I saw one ad the whole time it has been out, I am guessing this is a EU/US thing as it came from Russian developers. Just one of those things, I think it is to late now tjo do anything with, just wait for a sequel.
