now i am all for making new counsels, but this is just too soon. they don't have to worry i am not going to be the first in line to get one. the only way i will get one is if my current one break down. here is the article.

UK games industry outlet MCV has reported that both the next Xbox AND the PlayStation 4 will be shown at this year's E3 in June.

This isn't the first time that a publication has cited an unnamed source with information like this, but this isn't some unknown central European games blog - MCV's credibilty makes this particular report worth paying attention to.

Speaking on Twitter, MCV's online editor Ben Parfitt said "Obviously we can't reveal our sources. But you have my personal word on this - the source is exemplary, 100% concrete, ultra high level."

We shouldn't necessarily expect a full-blown reveal, though - we might just see the announcement. Editor-in-Chief Michael French told IGN: "This is very credible. Even if we don't see the hardware itself, or know a price or date, key publishers and developers are expecting some nod towards what direction PS4 will take at E3 this year. Sony isn't stupid - it knows that if Microsoft is planning to also say something about its next console, it can't be left behind."

Many were expecting Microsoft to come out on stage at E3 with some information about the new Xbox, but Sony's reveal would be more surprising, as a new console at this stage in the PlayStation 3's life cycle would fly in the face of the company's stated "ten-year plan".

If both Sony and Microsoft do indeed reveal their new consoles at the same time as Nintendo details the release schedule and pricing for the Wii U, this would quite probably be the biggest E3 in history.

I've been wondering about this. Thanks for the heads up. I like the idea of consoles sticking around for a while, but I also like the idea of improved graphics and more realistic movements etc. I think; however, that I'd be okay with at least two more years of current gen. But hasn't this been a longer video game generation since the SNES (i think 6 years). In November I think it will be 7 years.

Oh yea I am so excited Microsoft is coming out with some more garbage.  Yea awesome.  I have 3 xboxes that don't work well they do everything but read discs.  That's why for my gaming I am migrating to a computer I can build a gaming desktop for cheaper than buying an Xbox 360.  Plus If something happens I can replace the bad part without sending it to Microsoft for repair and be out an xbox that I paid good money for.  I'll be using AMD 8120 FX octa-core at 4.0 GHZ with the turbo at about 4.7 GHZ.

Why? Best CPU's for gaming are currently i5 and i7? If you buy the i72600K you can comfortably run it a t 5Ghz will the right cooling.

That's an opinion refuse plus the 250 dollar difference just didn't impress me enough with the i7 believe me I considered the i7 2600k and 2700k.  The fx series was recently put at over 8.0 GHZ and it was cooled with liquid helium or some shit LOL.  But for programming (in JAVA, C++, C#, and objective C as I will be certified in, java for droid applications) the FX series at 4 cores at 4.0 ghz is just fine for me plus I keep 250 in my pocket.  When ya are planning on building desktops for ppl as a business price is a big factor when ppl have no idea what they are getting LOL.  I didn't make this choice uninformed and without extensive research.

It was just yesterday that we relayed the rumor that PlayStation 4 and the next Xbox console are E3-bound. But if famous Wedbush Morgan Securities industry analyst Michael Pachter is to be trusted, MCV's report is off the mark.

Financial magazine and website Forbes is reporting quotes from Pachter about MCV's rumor. "I think there's zero chance of a tease from Sony for PlayStation 4," Pachter told Forbes, continuing that a new Xbox at E3 is unlikely, too, placing the odds at "20 percent."

"Neither console is launching in 2013, so there's no reason to tease them in 2012," Pachter concluded.

This flies in the face of the original MCV report, the source of which was described by MCV editor Ben Parfitt on Twitter as "exemplary, 100% concrete, ultra high level."

Of course, such a claim doesn't necessarily pinpoint who could possibly know the rival companies well enough to be intimately familiar with both Sony's and Microsoft's E3 plans. But MCV's Editor-in-Chief Michael French did tell IGN that their report is "very credible."

With MCV's report and Michael Pachter's analysis contrasting with one another, it remains to be seen what Sony and Microsoft have planned in terms of their next consoles and when they might be revealed. But feel free to do some speculating of your own in the comments below.
