I looked at my own rule book, or guide book as well....

For Future Championship matches....

Each Teamleader can pull from a round once...and identify a connection problem. But the Teamleader must call it before the 5 minute mark in the game, or I will hold them at a loss. At the 5 minute mark of a game, no one can really tell who's going to win or not...they can speculate, but unless it's run..nobody really knows.
The Skulls would have pulled from the match, cause I talked to a good 4 of them that was seeing something. I was not there, and Omega's Team reported no glitching or lag.

So...just so everyone knows. A Teamleader can pull the match before or on, the 5 minute match of these 10 minute rounds, should his team report problems. Then ..who's hosting should be examined, or the current host needs to make sure, or try to, run match with modem reset, all other computers off...hooking direct as possible to DSL.
Switching hosts is recommended...when doable.

However...some of this must be assigned simply to providence in these matters...and being fk'd by the fickle finger of fate. The Rerun match stands. and if the problem persisted, then it wasn't meant to be.
Most Grey area issues..lay in this realm...espically covering connection and lag issues.
Any match stopped after the 5 minute mark will be assigned to the team that pulled.

So as everything else in these things..there's my official solution or alternatives to running into issues during the match rounds themselves. Just be warned....be sure the lag issue was an issue...first. All matches Stopped are a serious matter, which could cause a delay in the tourney.

When it comes to stuff like this.....

History.

Creating a history of tourney problems...what so ever...will in effect bring justice eventually to all. When determining many of these grey area's, things that could be innocent or abused.... common sence, and when lacking...History is required. Whether genuin or not, Any team that creates a history of having such problems with teams...well, how can they compete? And this is IN NO WAY DIRECTED at the SKULL's, but a simple clarification to future matches as well as those of the past.

Just remember, what you do today, does effect my decisions of the future as well. Why would I let a team in my next tourney that abused these grey area solutions. Regarding all issues, that are princibly open to some abuse, because of the internet realm we choose to play in....I give you one word solution....History.

Stopping a match is a serious deal before 5 minute mark, and is recorded in my mental filing cabinet. Be sure of what ye do.

I have to put MY FAITH....

In the Team Rep system...as each Team Rep is suppose to be as honorable as his counter parts. Like I said, most connection issues can be worked out, between the Two intelligent Team rep's...to Fix said problem. IT does mean it does fail at times...but IF I DONT HAVE FAITH IN THAT...I can make 100 rules and get no where. IN my view, an unworkable connection issue...is a cop out. A successful Match...can always be run, if ego's allow, and that is truly the objective. OH, not always at your advatange, or in your favor, but enough common ground found to achieve an offical match. IT's easy...just hold the tourney to higher standard then yourselves, in all things.
IF there's a problem pull it...but if it wasnt problem enough to truly dictate the outcome, thats just pitiful. And Small.
Only YE be the judge. I got no hold over that.

Pulling from a round in a Match at under 5 minutes is TABOO! But under certain circumstances...totally permissable.
Dire Circumstances.

you can ask jeff ahern when both of our teams played each other we had connection issues. they were hosting and my team won the first match but there was such bad lag on both teams that we reran the first match with me hosting the second time. we did not report this because it seemed like common sense there was lag on both sides so we restart the match. and they won the match between our teams. i have no problem restarting a match when there is bad lag on both sides. i would have restarted the the 3rd match if i received any type of lag but i nor any of my team mates had no lag. that is the reason why i did not restarted the the 3rd match.  and i agree with doc new rules on lag. but this is starting to sound more of a witch hunt against my team with all the other teams asking how to report lag. this is just giving me more of a reason to win. here is the simple version of what doc is saying your team can quit a match once before the 5 minute mark of a match and blame it on lag.
