I've put some thought into this,
Since this is a Round Robin event...I've work out at system that could decide the Champions of this tourney without a Championship Match, unless there is a tie in the point system which is highly unlikely.
The Rounds are simple..highest pointing team wins the round.....but here's the kicker. For every round in a match..that is won..1 point is given to the winning team in a running tab, on a topic thread I will make. The matches can be 3 rounds..but they don't have to be if 2 rounds are won in a row.
So you see..there's is an advantage to shutting down a team. So in individual Matches..the winning team can only gain 2 points per match. However.....if the match goes 3 rounds..the loser at least gets 1 point for putting up a good fight, and thus a chance to stay in the running.
Now I still want correct score cards...just to make sure proper armaments were used....with the Team scores for each round. but individual gamer scores are not needed for this event.
Point system for Round Robin CFA "Night Mare Tourney:
Best 2 out of 3 round matches.
2 wins in a row shuts Down 3rd round.
1) IF you shut out an opponent: 2 points
2) IF the match goes to 3 rounds: Winner gets 2 points...loser gets 1
3) A forfeit for any reason..usually because of lack of organisation: The party at fault gets -1, the other team gets 2 points.
4) A double forfeit: Both teams receive -2. ( Because your wasting my damn time!)
Should there be a tie for 1st and second..in points..we will run one additional match to decide the Champs.
Please remember these are tourneys I have worked hard on, treat your opponents with respect, no trash talking, allow at least 5 minutes for your competitors to go into party chat and discuss change in strategies between matches. no more then 10..officially...but I give my Team Rep's allot of power in my events. not only for this..but working out connection problems and the like. IF a Gamer drops..he's got one chance to fix problem..or he has to be replaced. Be sure to check your own system to max connection before matches, or asked to be replaced.
Start planning your matches on Monday......the entire schedule will be layed out for you. You don't have 7 days to meet with the other team reps....you got weeks. The first match will be toughest...but the rest should be a piece of cake. The weekends are always easiest...but peeps live all over the globe. Remember to give as much as you get...and common ground can be found.
Last Tourney Ace's Squadron didn't use a sub the whole tourney...so there's no excuses for making a match time on a certain day...and not having your troopers there. I always started planning matches immediately on Monday..and was able to complete Ace's matches as well as those of our competitors on time, without delays.
Team Rep's..have your subs on speed dial. Shit Happens..peeps get stuck in traffic..life interferes with play times. That's what Subs lists are for. Utilize them. Some peeps take off of work early...call in sick...go to work late..put off personal family or other events to show up on time. Others get up in the middle of the night, or way early in the morning. Don't be disrespectful by not being prepared to keep your team's side of the Bargin. I'm very proud of my events..and have worked hard to make a rep for them. To create the Vision of REAL Tourney's...REAL EVENTS..not immature clusterfuck's!
Disrespecting your competitors..is disrespecting me. And it will not be pretty. Should AC7 bring opportunities for new exciting ways to compete, I can promise you, more of the same.
That said....this tourney is for fun. I have never allowed a CFA in my tourney's..and there was no need to restrict any airframes or controller styles.
Most of all...I hope you enjoy this event. The tactics and strategies are many. I like to at least allow everyone the chance to play the way they like.
Thank you all for your continued devotion to my events..and welcome to all the new teams.
Good luck to you all.
