Awards list handed into Engraver today.
« on: June 16, 2010, 03:22:47 AM »
Alrighty,

Got the Awards list with all 15 names to engraver today, and they said it would be less then a week that all plaques and Dog tags would be ready. They had a completed mock up, without engraving, for my viewing, and the plaques are awesome.
The colors I picked turned out to be quite a combo. I think everyone will be very happy.

On that subject, I have talked to Skulls, and they are interested in an Exhibition match with Darkness once a member of theirs returns from Texas.

And once again I still haven't gotten the Addies for Team Darkness, just the awards list is all. Hopefully those will show up soon.

So by next Monday or so, I will be sending out all awards, and my duties to this tourney will be over.

PS...

They did send a picture of the unengraved plaque as I requested, but it is really of poor quality, and doesnt show the true colors or beauty of the thing, so I think I'll wait till I get them all, and post some pictures via digital camera, with all of them layed out, with a few close up's.

Sorry about that, but its a JPG or JGP..or some shit file, that really sucks. Not even worth putting up for display.

I was going to call them tomarrow.

They said about a week, that makes it a week plus 2.

No worries bro..I'll have them in hand and be mailing them out this weekend.

I Called them,

Suppose to call back at 2...once the engraver working on them is in. Aprill Morris said her engraver was working on them yesterday, and most likely they will be completed today. Hadn't really planned going there today, but if all works out, I might be able to swing in, pick up the awards, and then go to Post Office to buy those "IF it fits, it ships" boxes and will get them in the mail by no later then this weekend.

Cool cool,

Just called Trophies Unlimited, and the awards and dog tags are done. I'm going to try and get across town today to get them, but if not I'll pick them up tomarrow for sure..along with the boxes to mail them in. I should get those all filled out to you no later then this weekend, and on their way.

I will post to confirm this, when I actually do it, so you know to look out of them in the mail. Most places..even East Coast havent taken longer then about 4-5 days in the past. So...not this weekend but next, you should have them.

hehehe...well, I got them.
And they are very very nice guys.

Funny thing happened tho.
When she handed me the bill it was for only 189.00 and change. I looked at her and I said, ummm there's appears to be something wrong here. She says why is that. I said this isnt the price you quoted me. She said it's not? I said no...it's way to low!!!!
And she looked at me with a dead stare.
Well she looked through the bill and discovered she had only charged me for one tag apiece, and not two tags apiece (15
sets). She said..you know your right. So she goes back into her office and comes out with the new bill. To my surprise it still wasnt for the 264.00 dollars. She then smiles and said, well, I charged you for the additional tag engraving, but since they werent that much, I wont charge you for the additional lines on it.

Total cost of all engravings plus tax: 229.90

I smiled and thanked her. I said "Wow, its does pay to be honest!" And then she winked at me, and said "You bet!!!!"

I also got to post office and picked up those boxes. They dont charge you for them untill you mail something in them, so I dont have that expense yet, for our records for my donators.

But it looks like I will save a few bucks on my personal donation which will include mailing them out.
Should have them out by Saturday guys.

I was going to beta,

but my GF...SH%T...is the owner of the Camera, and she needs a new memory chip for it, cause the present one is full. why she wants to keep them on her chip, and not transferred to computer is beyond me. So I was going to let one of you post some pictures.

But I'll tell you what, I'll try bitching again before I mail them out this weekend. Either way you should have them next week. IS Skull2 back yet? I was suppose to send them to him Bulk at his work. IF he's still on vacation that means they will just sit there for a bit possibly.

IF you wish...

You could PM me with your Addy and I can still send it direct to you, and then you can post some pic's. I promise you, both the plaques and Dog tags are top notch and very cool. I wasnt sure how they would look, espically the plaques...but DoC did GREAT in his selection of design.

So she keeps buying new cards whenever one fills up? I hope she at least backs them up somewhere and not leave the only copy on the card...
