Top 3 changes for AC7 ??

Due to the lack of new DLC content, we can assume Namco has begun work on AC7 (Hopefully)

So what are the top 3 three changes you would like to see for the new version?

For me:

1. Campaign Co-op. Even if they disable the achievements for single player if you fly with a friend, it would still be awesome to have the whole campaign available in Co-op.

2. More varied online options. More maps, more adjustable settings, better leaderboards.

3. More planes, More planes, More planes.

You just described HAWX  :D

Since they will have had studied what made the Ace Combat series great and then fine tuned it.

We hope HAWX has done what you describe Sidewinder but until we see it we can't assume that they will make it a better version of AC6.  We can hope they do but I doubt they will.  I have to say that AC6 is by far and away the best $59.99 I have EVER spent on a video game.  I have gotten TONS of hours out of this game.

Back to the original topic.  More planes would be better I agree.  More of a realistic flight sim would be as well.  I played a PC game a few years ago, I forget the name, BUT if you were evading missiles by standing on the throttle and turning in tightest radius you could get the plane into you would slowly begin to brownout.  Once you hit a certain G force, I believe it was 5 or 6 you would rapidly accelerate your brownout into a full blackout.  At this time your plane was only moving based on how you were flying it when you lost consciousness.  THIS and ONLY THIS will eliminate peoples (myself included at times) ability to fly in circles with the throttle maxed out for 10 minutes.  I don't agree with other posters that want to limit weapons, however if the SU-47 IM can carry WAY more weapons than the stock SU-47 it should in no way be more maneuverable, rather it should be harder to maneuver based on the fact that it IS carrying more weapons.

Also, the other PC game I played, if you stood on the throttle (afterburners) for more than 2 or 3 minutes they would begin to overheat and you would have to get off the throttle allowing them time to cool down.

Just a few thoughts from BeeRad...  I'm sure I have many others...

1. Jump-in/out online play. No more "Session already in Progress", or exit back to the Dashboard crap. Along with changeable/rotating maps (like CoD4)

2. Squadron/Clan support (again, like CoD4). That way we can all rep our groups in the actual game instead of through our GT's.

3. Larger room sizes for even more epic air battles. 8v8 is cool, but not the huge, insane, aerial slaughter-fest I was anticipating.


...yeh, other than that, I want the same stuff as Fero. Maybe not so many planes, I'd be fine with 20-25. With a better tier set-up. Seriously, the F/A-18 was meant to replace the F-14 it shouldn't be lower tier, or as shitty as it is in AC6.

1. The Online Play:

Seriously? Like SKULL, I want jump-in/jump-out capability. Plus, the lag compensation? Instead of leveling the field, it lopsided it.

2. Ranking system.

Install a Call of Duty 4 like ranking system. None of this ranked match crap.

3. Better Campaign.

I don't want the same story as always. Also, Co-Op, and maybe, just maybe, you play for the bad guys.

sort of like multiple endings? like in armored core for answer there is 3 different endings, good, neutral and evil. sort of like in ace combat zero as well.

Yeah, game play like Zero's would be nice..Kinda pick what side you want to be on.

Co-op story would be pretty cool as well.

I would also pick a better Rank system just like on CoD4 or Halo 3

   1. No more g@y @ss IdolM@ster planes with twice the manuverability than every other aircraft in the game.
   
   2. Clan/Squadron support. A customization option for individual planes..color schemes and/or tail markings ect.

   3. Acrcade/Simulation setting for the host options. No more novice controls unless the host allows them.

   4. As someone stated above, no more of this player/ranked crap..this should be at the hosts discretion, a simple flick of a switch in the hosts options as to whether the results are posted to leaderboard or not.

   5. A singleplayer and Co-op campaign that doesn't make me barf during the cheeesy cut-scenes. Get some real actors for petes sake!

I keep forgetting about this idea, you've mentioned it before. I really hope they do this, considering the shear number of clans and squads in this game, it would be well received.

DISCLAIMER: I have never played COD4 or ever will so since u guys r talking bout it so much i'm in the dark.

well, about the clan thing, how would they keep track of it? they would have to create a true site devoted to ac7 just like halo 3. the idea is good and i agree....xbox.com does have forum topics but no real clan section, at least from what i have read

about the jump in/out deal, we all know if we lose connection with someone there might be an issue with lag or others losing connection in the game but not always i do admit. but there would have to be a warning when someone comes in or other wise it would be like killing someone as soon as u respawn and thats something else, NO RESPAWN INVINCIBILITY!!! until like what 3-5 secs then ur name appears and then u can shoot it down???

and here is the real test for hawx, the actual possibility of doing a real cobra manuever, the same thing for ac7.

i do like the idea of the customizable plane idea, most of the best games i have played have either customizable avatars/emblems, overall pain schemes and other individual identification ideas.

well, this ones about the no ranked battles; if all battles ranked u then if u just play for fun and do horrible but in reality ur actually very good then it would harm ur rank and then people can critize u and about the host changing player or ranked matchs with a flick of a switch, not a good idea BECAUSE if u have a full board and then IF ur that much of a jerk to switch from player to ranked or back and forth. well i'm only speculating on how the actual thing will be set up but usually they would keep it similar to the previous one, heres the comparison that makes my point important, how easy is it to switch to a different plane when the timer is counting down and everyone is ready but u? now there are a few guys who actually wait for everyone to ready up before starting so then this point is moot, but for those who doesnt then its really easy to either swtich it to something the host doesnt wat to be used, AND on this point whatabout singling out either just one plane like f-22 or su-47 or even just a few different planes even though they r part of different types of planes, like i want rafale, su-33, f-16, and f-15 to be available to the players in my room, u cant do that in ac6 which is stating the obvious.

srry for typing so much but there was just so much to reply about and distort and make others second guess themselves and such...

...the Pugachev is for airshows, not dogfights. It is simply a demonstration of the aircraft's ability to generate a tremendous pitch rate, without changing the vector of flight.

It would be nice to see an su 37 terminator rather than a flanker.  Ac6 needs a lot more planes .  I do wonder though ace combat 4 (the 1st released on the ps2) had a limited number of planes then ace 5 had lots maybe namco r following a strange tradition or summit i dunno.

Clan support wud be essential for ac7. 

And return of ace mode wud be very nice dont get me wrong i love ace of aces mode but i wernt happy bout paying forty quid for a game that wants me to pay for the privilage of playing at a more challenging difficulty level.  So lets have an ace mode followed by the option of downloading ace of aces levels
