====================================================================================================
===Lesson #2===
Moderate Class
====================================================================================================
Combat Flight Time.
The purpose of this course is to give you some combat flight time in the low to mid level planes. This will allow for your flight skills to develop as an instinct instead of just how to fly a single plane. It is easy to just use one plane all the time and get very good at it. But if you face another pilot who not only flies the same plane as you, they also fly other planes and have learned more tricks to use than just what comes to mind when flying the plane you use. If you only use the 22 you will never really learn how to fly an orbit around the battle zone as you would have learned in the 14, 15, typhoon, rafale, and a few others. You would be at a disadvantage in an orbit fight if you have never flown it or even understand what it is. Plus the special SAAM equipped planes are another thing you should understand how they work. If you are facing an enemy with SAAM weapons you need to know the no go zone and the distance to target you should avoid and keep. There is a fine balance between high maneuverable planes and a plane you can actually use. Never sacrifice for what works best in combat for you. Stay in controll of the battle and you will come out the winner. Try to just wing it with your fave plane and you will get in trouble more than you would like.
==============Lesson Breakdown============================
Lesson #2 =Plane: Multiple plane selections all Emmerian skin. Weapons explanation & breakdown. (2 minutes) Weapon of the week Exam & Review. (5 minutes) Dogfight exam. (5 minutes) switch partners (5 minutes) Personal observation & review of combat. (3 minute)
   This class is run for 6 weeks and there are differant planes for each week. 1) F-2A 2) F-15E 3) Mirage2000-5 4) F-14D 5) F/A-18F 6) Su-33
   There is also a class limit once you get into the Moderate course. Max capacity of 3 students per instructor. Max room size 6 per room. A party chat will be used when two instructors are in the same room. This is to reduce the chatter over the radio. (Class limit is to force the student to learn to dogfight instead of just trying to evade all the SP weapons & MSSL shots being fired at them.)
OK I am glad to see you for your moderate training. This time we will cover the weapons system and its abilities.
WEEK #1: F-2A Guns (Instructors will be in Tornado's)
  The Guns are the basic weapon you will have.  No matter what the weapons level is set too. It is best to get practice with Guns early. Once you learn how to use them you will be able to gain extra points for the gun kills you get in combat. A gun kill is worth more points per kill. I want you to switch to the cockpit view. Fire your guns and look at the tracers. Are they lined up with the aiming system? Keep that in your mind when you go for guns. You will have to shoot by sight instead of instruments. When you are in each view try the guns to learn the aiming. Now lets go max throttle and pull a wide arc to the right. Now keep up the arc and test each view with your guns. See the lead you will have to add when you fire the guns. It will take time and practice before you start to get the hang of gun kills. But when you do you will earn the most respect from your enemy. Every players has a weapons setting they love and 1 they hate. Most pilots love to use QAAMs or SAAMs just as much as they hate them both. These two weapons are the most lethal killers in the battle zone. If you have to face them you will soon learn why. They are very hard to evade and get away from. So if you use guns instead of these in combat your foe will most often start going crazy about your skill. You want to brag without saying a word get some gun kills. You will soon have a rep for being a gun ACE. Now lets have some fun. Each student will face each other and use guns only. Try to evade and kill your enemy. This is practice and there are no winners in this match. You are all just to practice. Lets have fun.
WEEK #2: F-15E MSSL (instructors will fly the F/A-18)
This week we will cover the MSSL. Your plane is equipped with standard missiles. The MSSL is used for forward targetting. It is best suited for the Dogfight. You are able to take down most foes in one or two hits with a MSSL. It has two levels of tracking. The standard heat lock. This is the first lock that you get when your weapons system finds, locates and targets any foe in the sky. Notice the small diamond over your target? That is heat lock. If you fire, your MSSL shot will try to hit the center of the heat signature. But most of the time your foe will not stay in a level and straight path. SO your shot will have to turn and chase its target. This is when you will miss your enemy. It is very hard ti hit just a simple heat signature. You will have to allow your targetting computer enough time to find and lock in the exact heat signature into the MSSL you are going to fire. This is when you see the [shoot] icon appear on screen. Have you seen this before? That's when you have the best lock possible. Some call this tone fire. If you have your sound up and you fire with the shoot icon you will hear a sound that lets you know you have good lock. Learn to master this. It will get you extra kills in combat.
   To try out the ways and methods of MSSL combat we will have a 4 Vs 2 Dogfight. You will be the aggressors. The instructors will evade your MSSL shots while you attempt to shoot us down. Use the special way the MSSL works to shoot us. Don't just keep pressing the button. You won't get the kill that way. I want you to do any maneuver or tactic you can think of to shoot us down. We will run this match three rimes. Just so you get some flight time in the 14.
WEEK #3: Mirage2000-5 XMA4 (instructors will fly F-16s with MSSL & guns only)
  With this class you will be learning how to controll the stall aspect of your plane. You will face two instructors in F-2A Equipped with MSSL & XMA4 weapons. It is your task to master the stalling power of the Mirage2000-5 and defeat your instructors. You will have the long range advantage in this battle. Use that in your tactics. Don't rush in and try to dogfight us. You may not be ready for that. Instead use the long range and multi target ability of the XMA weapons system. There are 4 of you and only two of us. Use a rotational fire solution to keep us pinned down or stuck at our spawn. If you rotate your shots at us we will be stuck trying to evade your XMAs for the whole match if we can evade them at all. IF you wish to try and dogfight us feel free to do so but don't forget that your XMAs are not good in close range fights. They need long travel times to really get there targets. We will run this twice with you as the Mirage & once with us as the Mirage. You will be the one who have to evade the XMAs on the last battle so be sure to pay attention to how your weapons fire. If you hit and hold the fire button you can follow the shot all the way to the hit. So try that a few times to see how they target and chase us. Plus watch what we do and how we fly to evade your shots. This will help you learn how to kill us in the last match.

WEEK #4: F-14D XLAA
   Now its time to learn how to intercept your enemies before you engaged them in a dogfight. Learn to keep your foe hunting and looking for you. Don't get caught. Stay ahead of your enemy and keep them away from your sector of controll. Do not allow them to get behind you or you will really have to fight hard to get away. Your foes will be an F-16 & a Su-33 with MSSL & GUNs only. They will be trying to force you to run away from your zone of controll. You will be one of 6 F-14s in the room. It will be your task to shoot down and kill your instructors. Use your XLAAs well. You don't get a lot and they are very powerfull. Don't waste them. With 6 of you you can send in two as fighters and the other 4 can fire intercepting shots. Try to help your fighters and kill the two enemies. We will run this twice.
WEEK #5: F/A-18F ECMP (instructors will fly A-10s with MSSL & guns only)
   Now you get to have fun. The ECMP is your SP weapon and all you have are MSSLs to fight with. You have two things to do learn when and how to use the ECMP weapon and how to fight against others who have better weapons than you. If you think you can beat your instructors with ease think again. You must work very hard to outmaneuver them to get the kill shots. Your not going to get a whole lot of points but you will get very good at staying away from your enemy. This is a very good skill to learn when your out gunned and out skilled. If you can't kill your foe then at least don't give them an easy kill. Use the ECMP to knock out the weapons system of the active missiles that are tracking you at the moment. Use this if you get caught in a turn that did not go right or if you are too slow or have to turn towards your enemy. This will help you evade his shots until you get a clear shot to kill them instead. It will be hard but well worth the effort to learn. You will only run this once. After the first ECMP match it will be some LEVEL 2 combat in the F/A-18s.
WEEK #6: Su-33 QAAM (instructors will fly RafaleM with one SAAM & one XLAA)
This week we shall cover the QAAM missile. The QAAM is the fastest targetting missile in the game. It locks onto the heat signature of your enemy and is highly maneuverable. Its power comes from the ease of operations. You don't have to wait for tone to get a great lock on your target. You will face instructors in RafaleM planes. What I want you to do is try to listen for the sound that the QAAM missile makes when it is trying to lock on. Then listen for the sound of a locked target. This will allow you to fight without even having your target in your view. You will be ale to fire while the enemy is out of view and near your 6 O'clock. That's when this weapons gets its true power. It can turn really sharp in the air and hit targets behind you.
We will run this match 4 times and switch each time so that you try to use the Rafale also. Lets have fun.
