Three business men go to lunch for a meeting. The rude waitress comes to the table to take their order. The men ask about the special, and are told its soup, salad and a sandwich for $10.00. All three men order the special. The men get their lunch and finish the meeting. When they conclude their meeting, each man puts in their $10 for their lunch and leaves it on the table for the rude waitress with no tip. The manager has been watching, and when the men leave he heads over to ring up their meal. The manager realizes that the waitress over charged the three men buy 5 dollars for the special. The manager see's the men in the parking lot still talking, grabs the waitress gives her 5 one dollar bills and instructs her to give the men their money back. The waitress realizes on her way to the parking lot, that she can not split the five dollars evenly to the three men, and she did not get a tip; the waitress then puts two dollars in her pocket, then gives each of the men one dollar back.
So, in effect, each man paid 9 dollars for their lunch, and the waitress kept 2 dollars. So whats the problem?
Well, 3 times $9 =$27 plus the $2 the waitress took ='s $29. Where did the other dollar go?
